Sub: What makes Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali a great leader.

Sir,
Literally speaking, the variety of given beautiful topics made it bit harder to pick the right choice. To get a spark, I floated the idea in a group of young students that Quaid-e-Azam is my ideal personality but received a laugh. I didnt get hurt at all for the very obvious reason: How can a small vessel hold an endless ocean in it?
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was really a great figure and it needs a certain level of grandeur to understand this great personality. This soaring eagle cant be grabbed by humming birds.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was leader in true sense of this word. Who is leader? A person, creature or supernatural power with rare qualities. What did he not have: Consistency, inspiration, adventuresome spirit, uniqueness, boldness, selflessness, foresight, nobleness and lofty aim? Indeed, he had all the qualities of a real hero.
My Quaid had a deep insight. He understood the secret of earthly life very well that existence depends on struggle to our last breath, so he uttered work, work and work.  He relied on sense instead of senses, thats why we do not see him as an emotional soul but a rational man.
His popular motto Unity, faith and discipline forms a complete constitution in itself. He was not a fundamentalist but still religious at heart. How beautifully did he unite religion and others affairs of state?
Jinnah is a message of endless struggle. No ‘ifs and buts’ but target oriented work was his aim. Odds are odds and they have been existing since the very creation of this planet. Today the souls of so called leaders shiver with the mere idea of opposition of the enemy when we are independent while he faced the staunch opposition of the Hindus and the British rule when we were slaves.
Time of crises is the real test of potential of a man. What crises could be more fatal for the Muslim nation than the fact that the deadly game of Spain was being repeated to perish the Muslim identity from the sub-continent? The enemy was strong and united while the Muslims the scattered straws without even the equipment of education. Nehru seems right here saying: If we had only one Muhammad Ali, Pakistan could never have been existed. Salute to his vision, courage and conviction.
Comparing with other leaders, we dont feel ashamed but feel honour and dignity remembering the fact that our leader was unparalleled and really deserved to be called Quaid-e-Azam, the greatest leader. His footsteps are guidance to all and for all. Divine Messengers an exception, he is a leader of leaders!
Institutions were not established and Media was not strong enough to check any irregularity being done in the government circles but our Quaid did not avail this opportunity of plundering the assets of this new land merely because he did not want to secure his off springs but all off springs! Banks abroad did exist but he did not deposit the bounty there. All safe heavens existed but he did not flee there to seek refuge simply because he was loyal to his nation and considered himself a patron and patrons should behave as nobly with their countries as this great figure did. If suspected, probe his assets and nothing will be found except his deep love for his nation. Actually he kept his word what he said to the students of Islamia College Peshawar in 1948, Our duty to the state comes first, and our duty to the province, district, town and village and to ourselves comes next.
Folks say nothing can be done without Baba Quaid-e-Azam (means no work can be getting done in this country without money or paying bribes.)Alas, if nothing were done without Quaid-e-Azam literally. What an irony! What a misery!
He is a symbol of perpetual virtue. This is the beauty of heavenly creatures that they are away from the wickedness of selfishness. How noble was my Quaid who sacrificed his self to atone for the sins his nation had committed in previous centuries and was ultimately punished by the yoke of slavery. Nations fall down in years and rise back in centuries. Look, my nation fell down in centuries and he lifted it in years! Probably, he was a heavenly soul came on Earth for our rescue.
Service was his aim but not the service in our meaning. He devoted himself for a noble cause. He had established himself as successful lawyer but he preferred to work for his nation instead of satisfying his appetite by earning money. Government service was at his disposal but he bade it farewell realizing the fact that beggars can never be choosers.
No doubt he worked for the partition of India but this can never be regarded as his negative approach. This shows his loyalty to his land, India, when he said to Raja of Mahmud Abad Circa in 1925: I am an Indian first, second and last.He joined the Congress and tried his best but the narrow minded opponents left only one option for him, the Muslim League. Unlike the conventional politicians, he did not rely on intrigues but worked on the principle of fair play.
Jinnah is leader of all sects of society, the Muslims and non-Muslims, men and women, adults and children and haves and have-nots. His speeches clearly reflect his concern about all of these.
I come across with my Quaid daily. Apparently silent but his silent lips are still whispering something in my ears Muhammad AliMuhammad, Muhammad (S.A.W), Muhammad Ibne Abdullah.O child of my nation! O my only hope! Follow Muhammad (S.A.W) and see Almighty Allah honouring you like Ali, Ali Ibne Talib. Then, you will neither borrow money from the West nor greatness from imitation of the world outside. The world inside you will become the orbit of the world. Who blames that humans are mortal; we are born immortal. Death is but a turn to begin life from a new dimension. Look into my eyes, be brave my child, remove all fears, and join me in immortal world. If you exist, why dont you really exist?
My Quaid, my dear Quaid, my sweet Quaid, Muhammad Ali, you are my leader. You are my ideal. No, you are my ideal leader. Nay, you are everything to me. Your glimpse has given me a new life. Now this life is yours. You gave up everything for my sakefor the sake of my nation. I will sacrifice at least something dear to me for your sakefor the sake of my nation. I will gift my generations something, something noble: long lasting freedom, everlasting joy.
Earth sees downfall of nations daily but rise of such heroes (as Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was) in centuries. May his soul rest in best portions of heaven!
Thank you sir for providing us with this opportunity to express our love for our leader.

Well wisher,
Nadeem Pinsota

MTA Election – 20--  Speech by Dr ABC contestant Vice President

MTA Election – 20--  Speech by Dr ABC contestant Vice President

In the name of Allah Who is the Most Praiseworthy!
Standing in front of you is Dr ABC, a candidate to be elected as Vice President on behalf of Democratic Group for Medical Teacher Association Election 2014, here at Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan.
I am feeling utmost pleasure to talk to my colleagues who by the Grace of Allah Almighty have honour to be the saviours of human life on Earth and, more than this, they are teachers which may ultimately mean prophet, preacher, mentor and creator of such noble souls as I see in front of me at the moment. To be the part of this community has been the greatest honour which I could ever have in my life. My profession as well as my colleagues is the right reason of pride and self respect for me and, no doubt, for all of us.
Protection of rights and privileges of medical teachers and restoration of any such rights and privileges has been and will always be the key priority of Democratic Group. If elected, I will make all possible to protect and preserve the rights of medical teaching staff.
Unity is important in every strata of life but it has pivotal role here in medical field keeping in view the sensitivity of the duties. It is necessary so that the services of medical teachers could be availed of without any interruption which may occasionally arise out of frustrations due to contradictions in policies of the administration. Exercising all my influence, I will make utmost efforts to unite all the medical teaching staff.
While making decisions about medical teachers, it is necessary to consult them. An active interaction with government authorities, CPSP, PMDC and UHS will be made sure which will ultimately result in benefit of all of us, medical teachers and administration. Democratic Group will effectively work to reduce confrontation either with authorities or teaching community itself. I will represent the true opinions with full care and boldness during any interaction with the authorities.
Presence of Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Sheik Zayed Air Port, Cotton Ginning Industry,  a number of sugar mills, top level education systems , flourishing businesses, excellent shopping centers, large agricultural and industrial produce, carpeted roads, efficient communications systems, ever growing number of vehicles on roads , majestic housing societies ,millions of population, grand generation of revenue and migration of folks of other parts of the country towards this city all are evident that Rahim Yar Khan is not a town but a large and metropolis city. This fact is not hidden from government but still our city has not been declared a large city. The teachers of medical colleges in big cities enjoy certain privileges and allowances which we are deprived of. To raise this issue is one my top priorities.
“SHADE UNDER THE LAMP” is a proven truth as far the teachers’ children are concerned. What an idea to keep their own children illiterate who teach rest of the world. This is the very logical right of a teacher that his child should have reserve seats in medical colleges. This had been in practice in the past. We will diligently make effort at all platforms for the restoration such reserve seats. I will never allow shade under the lamp and get the reserved seats restored for better future of our children.

My dear colleagues, rights and the infringement of rights co-exist in every sphere of life from the very humble life of the nomads living in shanty towns to the noble ones dwelling in majestic royal palaces. Infringement comes with rights and rights come with responsibilities. Thus, rights exist only when there exist responsibilities. Demanding for rights simply means asking others to perform some specific obligations in certain regards. The dream of rights can be achieved only if all of us perform our obligations without fail. Performance of duties can be made sure by: First, enforcing appropriate legislations, rules, regulations and just division of labour. Second, awareness should be created among those about whom these duties are assigned. Rules have already been devised in the entire medical field all over the country but still we see things happening contrarily. Justice is not a unilateral process, it demands the thorough investigations and hearing from both the aspects of the matter concerned. Following the same framework, let the administration do its job. Nevertheless, this can never be allowed to hinder the work of the administered while they are also working under the same framework of same rules. Sadly this juxtaposition has been in vogue since the very beginning of our careers as teachers here at Sheikh Zayed Medical College. The very obvious reason is the lack of a body representing the medical teachers’ true opinions , their just rights and setting margins for  their duty spheres. Sheikh Zayed Medical College always have active, devoted, sincere and bold teachers. They should not play the second fiddle but come forward for the protection of rights of entire community of medical teachers. Democratic Group has the potential to claim to be  such a body , making sure that your rights are protected.
To be Vice President of MTA doesn’t mean any luxury but a diligent strive to achieve the goals mentioned above but still I dare to accept this responsibility for the sake of justice, for the sake my sincere colleagues, for the sake of nobility of my service and for the sake of all the medical teachers and all would-be teachers. You sincere pray and invaluable vote would make decision to see our common dreams realized. May Allah bless all of you!

Essay: Wastage of Food is wastage of the planet

Essay: Wastage of Food is wastage of the planet

Food is one of those essentials  humans need to exist on Earth. Literally, Food means any substance that organisms eat to sustain life. Generally anything we eat either to satisfy our appetite or taste is food. Food also means nutrition which is the only source of energy to manage the arduous tasks of the  world. Further, Food does not mean our appetite but taste as well. How does life look like without taste?

Food waste means to make the eatable material useless. When some portion of food is left uneaten and disposed of considering useless is the food waste. This form of waste is very common at domestic level, at hotels, food festivals and during celebrations when food is available easily at larger scale. We may waste food at different stages production, processing and retailing.  Overeating, eating unnecessarily, I irregular meals, social customs, burning of eatable during superstitions are all factors contribute to the wastage of food in one way or the other.

Sadly 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted every year worldwide.  The National Defence Council and NRDC claim that the USA alone wastes 40 % and 50% of food respectively every year. IME (The British Institution of Mechanical Engineers also makes the same claims that 1.2 to 2 billion tons of food remains uneaten.

Hunger has always been a major issue of the world which could never be solved by increasing food production only but saving the available supply of food. 50 % women in the third world do not receive proper maternal care and give birth to 30000 "deaths" instead of "lives" every year. Sub-Saharan countries of Africa bear the loss of 2.6 million deaths caused by hunger related diseases.

Food is the basic human right and wastage of food means ignoring the said right. The denial of rights brings nothing but  chaos. Food is the rare gift of our planet as it grows nowhere else.  One can find minerals, rocks, metals, perhaps everything else on other planets but not food. Today we may waste some food considering it extra, tomorrow we will have to beg for it for survival.
Had we been sensible enough regarding the use of food, neither the Global Food Crisis 2008 nor the Somalian Famine would have occurred only some years back. The Sub-Sahara countries hardly produce 230 million tons of food annually while the richer countries waste 222 million tons of food every year! The entire population of the 'Third world' could be fed with the food wasted by the 'First World'.
The food that we waste can save millions of lives, help the poverty stricken humans with the sole aim of survival. Anyone who believes in co-existence has an aim "Eat to live", not "Live to Eat".  Production of food must be according to the proportion of the people living in a certain area.

Food wasting means unjust distribution of food, some with excess to waste and the rest to starve.  "A hungry man is an angry man." will never let peace in the society simply by violating law of the country simply to acquire a single bite of food.     Such a person is nothing to society and, as consequence, society is nothing to him. The flame of crimes get spark from hunger and burn the whole society. Likewise, a person suffering with malnutrition because of unjust distribution of food resources will always think but negative. Why do the poor fight more than the richer ones? What happens first of all when fields stop growing crops?  Bloodshed.

He would have neither any religion nor any country. His all efforts of 'patriotism' will be directed towards 'sinicism' making him an ideal 'land' to grow 'weeds of sin'. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization claims that 870 million people of our present day world are suffering from chronic undernourishment.  What about these three quarter billion hungry souls?

Food is the resource which is already a scare resource, how can it be wasted. Is food right of those only who earn or have resources? If so, what about innocent children, war victims, helpless natural disasters' victims and crippled people? Do they have no right to live on this planet Earth?  What is this distribution of resources that only one human eats and wastes while the rest die with hunger? Has someone sold this planet to the rich countries or the rich have some heavenly right to 'eat, live and be merry'? Can the same seller be asked to kindly sell the sun, the stars, the moon, the sky or some other heavenly bodies? Progress and possession of resources may be the right of the hard working people but not at the cost of others' existence. Live but let others also live!

Though our enemy, yet Gandhi said something very wisely: Earth provides enough to satisfy everyman's needs, but not every man's greed. Bernard Shaw once said: There is no sincerer love than the love of food.

Humans realize the worth of something when it starts ceasing to exist. Let Food perish, everyone will realize.
Food does not fall but it is grown with labour and prepared with skill. Wasting it means rejection of all the efforts made behind it. Food is such a vital element that humans may eat even dry tree leaves when starved. It is so vital that in most of the cases it is the only goal of millions of people on Earth.

Wasting means keeping someone else hungry and what will that hunger result in one day? Food is one of the top secrets to stay peaceful on Earth. Feed others and win friends, snatch and make foes!

Religions also teach us the importance of food by making ‘Fasting’ obligatory. Islam commands us to eat lawful and good things and in good manner, not as animals eat. We are advised to be moderate in all affairs of life, so eating no exception. If we are really sincere to this planet and our coming generations, then we are bound by all the norms of sense to save food because ‘Wasting food means nothing but wasting our own home planet, our Earth!

English Speech: Science and technology is taking the world to its end. by Nadeem Pinsota (In favour)

Science and technology is taking the world to its end.

Gone has the time when humans used to be miserable and lived in dark caves and lonesome jungles. Now it is modern age. Age of progress. Age of advance people and sophisticated machines. Age of glitter and light. Houses are beautiful. Buildings are great. Roads are paved. We are protected by the force of nuclear and hydrogen bombs. We dont run but fly. Time has unleashed all luxuries and beauties for us and humans have become glorious. It is splendid and honour to live in this age.

Sorry president ,I have gone the wrong way. Truth is other way round.
Worthy Chief Guest the world
which surrounds us made of up matter. Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. This matters has certain charachteristics. This matter is gorverned by some rules. But, sir, humans are made of some different type of matter. This particular matter  shares some virtues of it deighty. Unfortunately , the same matter possesses the ugliness of demons and satan. Matter remains matter no longer. Light brings darkness. Beauty means cruel fair faces. Advancement stands for sheer nakedness. Advancement means crushing each other in the blind chase of bubble glory. Here, more feeding does not satisfy hunger but multiplies appetite, lust and greed. Under the umbrella of nuclear weapons, humans are safest now is just a mocking of the word defence and security.  We are fast, no we are  just furious. Jet planes go to sky like the swish of an arrow. But remeber , they crash land with the speed of lightening.  We may laugh at the ancient humans . Well , we may . Who'll stop laughing an insane. Perhaps the souls of the dead may also be laughing at us calling us: You are the hollow men, You are the stuffed men.

Modern man,  In the past it may be barter sytem. They exchanged goods with goods. But , we , the modern man are exchanging everything with nothingness.  We are boastful of our learning, learning of science. We claim Science has revolutionized the world. It is true but in limited context. We have started our journey into narrowness and ultimately to nothingness. We love science but this dear science has brought our world to an end. A dead end. No way forward and no leap back. Nothing is left in Earth and nothing is left in sky for sinful souls like ours. This science has never given us anything. It is just the art of fooling ,snatching killing, deceiving and eventually confusing and getting confused.  Davies has already declared : What is this life if full of care, We have no time to stand and stare !

Dear audience, When there was no science, humans lived in the lap of nature . They enjoyed the dahsing beauty of colours. Somewhere colourful plants, sometimes eye catching birds, other times patches of clouds and clusters of marching stars in the company of bright moon. Their ears appeased themselves with melodious sounds of birds and drip drop of rain fall.  Their feet touched velvety grass and bodies got wrapped in natural silk. Their tongues tasted sweetness of honey . Their minds developed in the serenity of nature.
They might be living in wildreness but were not bewildered.  They might have less to eat but it was the truth that mattered. They might not have telescopes but a vision getting them far beyond the reach of these tools of blurry modern world. They might not have conducted experiments but experienced life.

Worthy president, what the essence of the word human , man or hue and cry ? Worthy chief guest, thanks to science we have landed in such a place where hamans have ceased to be humans. Where religion is business, where ethics is treachery, where sympathy is cheating, where everything has been wrapped into another guise. Owing to this scicne, we have lost our consience.

Alas, my fellow human beings, alas ! virtue has turned into sin. If this is called the progress of science , dear sir, then , Science has brought the world to its end. Just beware of it.

Thanks all  of you for listening to me with patience. Good Bye.

Speech: Science has brought the world to its end. [Against] by Nadeem Pinsota

Speech: Science has brought the world to its end. [Against]
Worthy Chief Guest, honourable  teaching faculty, dear school fellows and rest of the audience, I feel honoured to speak on the topic : Science has brought the world to its end. I stongly oppose this statement and there are shrewd reasons behind this stance.

Worthy chief guest,  what is science? Just practical and rational aspect of approaching the things which matters to life. Nothing more than this. At the same time nothing less than this. Science is the only valid available tool to exercise human potential to its fullest. Science is not vague notion like other disciplines of life but rational and trusted tool .
Worthy sir, narrow intellects may call it exploition of human beings. As a matter of fact, it expoits matter only. This matter enables human itellect exploit itself.  What is wrong if someone wants to expoit ones talents fully ?

Sciece is such a friend who reveals secrets of nature to us. With a single click , infinite sources of energy are unleashed . Is it sin to benefit ourselves from the blessings of nature ravelled by our creator? What govens this universe? some rules and laws. Instead gazing on nature blankly , what if we come in practical contact with it ? Science is a source of harmony between nature and man.

True , science may have some shortcomings. But its overall outcome is sweet and fruitful.

Dear audience, imagine what would be life in the absence of science? Misery would prevail in all its brutal forms. Humans would be on mercy of starvation, famine, disease, superstition, slavery of witches and wizards, ghosts of evil or demons of virtue, curses of charms and magic and ignorance. All these curses cease to exist when science comes to rescue humans and humanity.

Honourable presdient, It is science which has made life worth living. Humans struggle whole their lives in quest of meaning and purpose of life.We see dreams which set goals and it is science which paves a way for it. Science may not be destination but a sure vehicle to land there in our dreamland.  What has ended the Dark Ages? Science and scientific thinking !

Listeners, science is not an optional fact of life but an inevitable virtue . Science has honour to turn sand dunes in orchards, irritating noises to sweet melodious music, raw meat to appetizing meals, uneven paths to paved roads, camel ride to zooming jet flights, dark sights to colourful eye feasting electronic screens, meaningless blank sketches  to alluring and breathtaking pieces of beauty, irritating dry moods to brightly lit faces full of laughters and smiles. Science has replaces sorrows and sufferings with joy ,happiness and pleasure.

Dear sir, have we bothered to see what is unifying force among us? Science , only science has this honour. All the rest just claim but sciece does it. Doing is in the root of Science. What the rivals say, let them say. They just say. But science does. Science needs no arguments, no support. Science is argument in itself. It is support for others. It supports without any bias of region or religion.  Claim that science has brought the world to an end is just an unjust attempt to undermine the true scope of science. A sensible person has no other choice but to strongly disagree with this misleading statement.
Thank you all of you and have a nice day. Good Bye !

Speech: All that glitters is not gold (final version) For Grades 5th to 8th

Worthy Chief Guest, honourable teaching faculty and dear school fellows. Assalam-o-Alaikum. I am ____________________ from class ____________. Its a prestige for me to speak infront of you. I shall express my wandering views on the topic: All that glitters is not gold. Worthy Chief Guest , currently, fashion, glamour and glittering is in vogue exercising its fullest negative impact on mankind and seems to succeed in replacing the old great social and noble virtues with the curses of selfishness, meanness, extravagance , aimlessness and an ever increasing greed for money and superficially beautiful clutter. Dear listeners, in the blind chase of worldy pursuit a common man, let us call Mr ABC, sitting on non-sensical trojan horse has turned into Mr Glitter just because of the deadly radiation of some shiny material objects. Let me address Mr ABC now: So, Mr Glitter ,you have glitter of skin and get favour from the very beginning of life to your professional career. Your teachers kind to you and the employer impressed. You have learnt just to reap the fruit of your glitter. Vanity has made you bold. But keep in mind, Mr Shine, all that glitters in not gold. Once you were in wretched state with deperate stares at the passing by bikes . But you got it and rode it. You reached a Cultus, then a GLI and XLI, then Mini Pajero to Land Cruiser. This soil looked tightening on you so turned to airways. Very soon Folker lost its charm, you took to Boing 474 . Form 474 to 747 and landed on Concord. Mr Glutonous, even Concord failed and now you are planning tours to Mars. Oh dear Glitter where will you go then ? Sun, yes , sun is the right place for you. Behold, dear behold ! I have heard birds singing that the hellish heat of sun awaits the likes of you, simply because the sun too thinks: All that glitters is not gold. What is your aim, luster. Luster of steel and lust of coin. An appetite for symmetrical geometrical shapes, round corners, smooth edges and beautiful curves. Yes, my dear it is true. You are soaring high just to reach colourful pieces of plastic, velvety fur of fibre, dazzling reflections of glass and everything which matters to life but not. The higher you are soaring , the deeper your soul is sinking in the vallyes of sinfulness and meaness. True, you aim for glitter but remeber glitter is aiming at you. Glitter backfires hollow hearts and shallow minds. Mr Glitter you will soom lose wits. Hold yourself please hold ! Because all that glitters is not gold. Oily tongue twisting, real manners splittering, pride is fluttering and the candy of life bubbling. It is leading you nowhere. Why is your soul sold? A secret , Nature has just unfold. Dear Dazzle, Superman, Mr Superficial, All that glitters is not gold. The poor stag of Esop had beautiful horns but , alas, what they brought? Death ! Nature has neither punishments nor rewards, it has sequences only. One very clear rule: Follow the stag and have stag's end. Perhaps the stag was not told: All that glitters is not gold ! I am an object . I have shiny surface. Who claims I have shiny inner too. Rub a dim surface, it has shiny inside. Shape a diamond, it has shiny inside. Preach a human , he has shiny soul. Sit in the lap of nature, moon has shiny moonlit. Wink in the dark, stars are shiny world. Aid a dejected, it has shiny hope. Bow before God, you have a shiny forhead. Sacrifice your ease and have a glittering peace. Mr ABC appearance is deceptive . Fake glory is just a bread mould. So Bread Mould, Misery Untold, Mr Glitter, just hold because All that glitters is not gold. Worthy Chief Guest, Many many thanks to you and all the dear audience for listening my word with patience. Have a good day and a life at ease. Allah Hafiz.
