Can we achieve our goal without resolution?

Literally “Resolution” means our determination and aim to do something…. plainly, our decision to do or avoid something. The question put before me as well as every body in front of me is : Can we achieve our goal without resolution?

Before concluding, anything I would like to understand what does goal mean. Sure, Goal means our target or aim to do something particular or avoid it.
Honourable chief Guest, nothing of this universe is without goal. Everything alive has a goal, a target or a particular state. Even……even non-living things have their targets. Wherever we see, the objects of this universe are busy in chasing their objects. From huge sun to tiny particles of atom, everything is busy in the same job……seeking its goal. The sun rises in the morning, lightens the world and stealthily moves towards the west. The moon does the same, the stars do the same, clouds do the same, planets do the same, meteors do the same….Even, the tiny electrons are revolving with an aim. What looks without purpose ? Nothing ! Prey is the goal of wild animals. Grain is the target of birds. Dead is the target of vultures. Sea is the goal of river. Soul is the goal of body and body needs souls. Air chases air and space catches space. The mystery of this universe is merging into mystery thus forming another mystery. Life is originating from nothing and ending in nothing. A strange game, really very strange….!
Honourable Chief Guest, does this game have no goal ?
All the bits of universe have aim and goals. Man is the crown of creation. Is it possible that this king of the universe has no aim. Is it without any goal ? Can it exist without remembering its aim ? Never ! Not even for a single moment ! Man came to existence with an aim, with a goal…..a goal to be the deputy of the Great Creator.
Dear listeners, I’m not here to prove that goal is necessary. It needs no arguments to say that it is the necessity! My sphere to ponder on is: We can’t achieve our goals without resolution. What is resolution ? It is nothing but our thinking…. Our thinking to start thinking. Our very first and tender approach to see our direction… to see which way to be taken….to ponder over where to begin….how to begin….why a beginning ? It does not cost money. We need not to take any physical pain. We need not to travel. Even, no need to move our lips to disclose something or bother our ears to listen something. Resolution is just and idea. We may have this when we are asleep. We may have this when we are busy in work. We may have this when we are taking rest. We may have this when we are oppressing someone. Or, we may have this when we are being oppressed. This is such a wonderful thing which needs no time, no space, no energy, no currency…..it needs nothing indeed. What it needs is WE . Yes, it needs us and we need it. We are necessary for it and it is our necessity. The leaders before leading….the scientists before inventing….. the scholars before researching…. the prophet before preaching…..the nation before freedom….. and the Creator before creating decides something…decides to do something and does it. Life with movement is nothing but stagnant water full of filth and odour. Movement is impossible without action. Action is impossible without resolution. Honourable Chief guest, life without a determination is like a lump of flesh and muscles without bones. Our body moves with muscles but bones are its backbone. Such is the matter with resolution. We have this and have something. When we don’t have, we are have-nots.
Dear audience, history of this world is the sheer proof that the individuals changed the destiny the nations. And, nations when decided changed the history of this planet. Our dearest prophet (S.A.W) resolved to spread the word of truth and he spread it. The Muslims of the sub-continent passed the resolution and were blessed with this beloved Pakistan.
Mr. President, We are what we decide we are. We begged when we thought we are beggars. We stood when we resolved we would stand. We helped when we decided to help. We were helped when we decided we were helpless. We are nothing. No, we are everything. We are what we resolve we are.
If this resolution is so vital, then why don’t we decide. …. Decide to be a free nation….decide to be a strong nation…. decide to be a nation with honour….. decide to decide our own fate….. decide to have peace, love and justice at least on this land where we breathe. If a single human like Muhammad Ali Jinnah can change the map of world, then this whole nation can change the map of the entire universe. Yes, Mr. President, we can make this universe a heaven if we decide, or a hell otherwise!
